Privacy notice

Phoenix Additive, operated by Arty Smith as a sole trader, is responsible for the personal information you give us through this quote tool. Contact arty@phoenixadditive.co.uk with any privacy question.

What we collect

When you request a quote, we collect your name and email address, and your company and phone number if you provide them. We also collect uploaded 3D model files, print choices, quote details and the information needed to protect the service, such as your IP address and session details. If you place an order, we collect the contact and delivery details needed to fulfil it. SumUp handles card payment details.

Why we use it

We use this information to prepare and send your quote, follow up your enquiry, and fulfil an order if you place one. This is normally necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or to perform the contract if you order. The optional marketing box is unticked by default. If you tick it, we use your consent for marketing messages. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us.

Where it is kept and who handles it

Quote details and uploaded files are held in private storage on our web host, outside the public web root. A private copy of each numbered quote PDF is also stored on the owner's encrypted computer storage. We use Google Workspace to send quote emails. Service providers may process information outside the UK with appropriate safeguards where required. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We propose to keep quote requests and their uploaded files for two years, then delete them unless they become part of an order or need to be kept for a legal claim. We propose to keep order records for six years for tax and accounting purposes. These periods are a proposed policy and will be put into effect when the deletion process is implemented. Until then, numbered quotes and their private copies are not automatically deleted. Backups will need the same approved retention approach.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your information, correction or deletion, and in some cases restriction, portability or to object to our use of it. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email arty@phoenixadditive.co.uk to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Session cookies are needed to protect access to quotes and orders. The main Phoenix Additive privacy policy also covers use of the wider website.
